Job Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or GED
  • U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S.
  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • ability to perform physical activities including lifting 50lbs, standing, sitting, driving, pulling, pushing, squatting, climbing, walking, kneeling, reaching, crawling, and writing
  • ability to work assigned shifts including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to comply with company attendance standards
  • ability to maintain a well-groomed appearance as per company standards
  • must be able to communicate and interact in English
  • ability to use computer and office productivity tools
  • ability to work under tight time constraints
  • no work authorization sponsorship available
  • ability to work shift work and/or overtime

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • preferred 4 years of college
  • preferred airline supervisory experience
  • preferred valid U.S. driver's license
  • must demonstrate ability to lead and motivate
  • extensive knowledge in customer service, ramp, and operations
  • effective verbal communication skills by telephone, face to-face, and public address systems
  • ability to use radio equipment and communicate instructions
  • ability to work well as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Provide friendly service to and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers
  • work in a cooperative spirit to ensure company success
  • verify that quality work is done in the station and assist in any required area
  • review payroll and verify that cash and negotiable items are handled properly
  • provide special care, attention, and assistance to all Southwest Airlines customers as needed
  • assist in hiring and training of supervisors and station employees
  • monitor staffing in all areas and verify that overtime is used properly
  • assure employee productivity
  • check all machinery and equipment and coordinate repairs
  • perform special tasks or assignments as delegated by the Station Manager
  • meet physical ability requirements
  • perform other duties as directed by leaders
