Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Two to three years’ leadership experience in related field with two years supervisory experience preferred
  • Must meet the state’s minimum age requirement for serving alcohol
  • Current Food Handlers Card and TIPS certification
  • Ability to understand and implement dining standards
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Knowledge of restaurant database software is a plus
  • Knowledgeable about county regulations
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to calculate food costs, menu pricing, discounts, inventory, labor standards, and volume
  • Must understand profit and loss statements and be able to present capital projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Planning, problem-solving, decision-making, delegation, time management, and employee development skills
  • Basic computational ability and budgetary analysis
  • Must demonstrate initiative and sound judgment
  • Ability to work under pressure and balance multiple priorities
  • Attention to detail and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Valid driver’s license required

Job Duties

  • Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort and Golf to support company goals
  • Ensure superior food service and quality meeting or exceeding guest and employee expectations
  • Maintain effective communication among team members regarding F&B operations, safety, and concerns
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, and developing F&B team members
  • Recognize and celebrate team member successes
  • Provide a safe, clean, and enjoyable work environment for food service staff
  • Support business goals including sales, revenue, and new projects
  • Adhere to labor standards regarding labor costs and covers
  • Assist during F&B functions such as corporate parties and weddings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
