Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience required
  • Food service or retail experience encouraged
  • Valid Food Handler’s Card required
  • Knife Safety and ServSafe certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required

Job Duties

  • Assist in planning schedules and labor needs based on forecasted sales to ensure strong coverage and efficiency
  • Oversee the deli counter and sales floor to keep products stocked, rotated, and attractively displayed
  • Coach and train team members to deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and consistent customer service
  • Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards across all front-of-house areas
  • Help manage timecards, shrink reporting, documentation, and team huddles
  • Communicate daily with the Department Manager, Deli Kitchen, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Resolve customer concerns with professionalism and a positive attitude
  • Support merchandising, promotions, and sampling efforts to engage shoppers and boost sales
  • Jump in wherever needed to maintain service flow and keep operations running strong
