Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work some weekends, nights until 8pm, and holidays
- Ability to lift and move routinely up to 20 pounds and frequently up to 50 pounds
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Basic computer literacy and knowledge of ordering systems
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Ability to comply with food safety regulations and recording procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED plus 4 years relevant experience
- 1-3 years experience in food service management or related field
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as receipts, safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field desired
- 6 years relevant experience desired
- Knowledge of ServSafe Sanitation guidelines or similar food handler program desired
- Experience working with HACCP principles desired
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills desired
- Experience managing classified civil service, bargaining union member employees, and student staff desired
- Knowledge of computerized ordering systems desired
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization desired
Job Duties
- Assist in management of a seven-day, multiple-shift culinary production kitchen including opening cold production, closing prep production, closing bakery prep, packing production, food truck prep, and deliveries
- Assist and administer personnel functions including hiring, orientation, module and in-house training, supervision, and performance management for full and part-time employees
- Manage the student personnel program and student managers
- Ensure meals are served according to prescribed standards
- Support training and development of staff
- Oversee forecasting, procurement, production, service, and customer relations
- Assist with Ohio Department of Agriculture compliance including training and recording GMPs
