Job Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • two years direct management experience
  • ability to read, write, comprehend and speak English
  • strong working knowledge in the food and beverage industry
  • ability to maintain responsible alcohol service certification
  • ability to communicate via written and verbal formats
  • ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests and team members
  • ability to perform basic math skills
  • ability to perform statistical analyses
  • ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations
  • ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • ability to work all shifts and holidays
  • ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • physical mobility with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 50 lbs

Job Duties

  • Administers the overall activities of the venue's operation on assigned shift
  • establishes and administers training programs within the assigned venues
  • counsels, guides and instructs personnel in the proper performance of their duties
  • direct the development and administration of controls for all phases of the venue in an economical and profitable manner while maintaining established standards
  • assists in the maintenance and development of procedures for food service and inspects menu items for maximum customer satisfaction
  • supervises staff on shift and ensures proper staffing levels in order to provide high standards of service with minimum labor hours
  • maintains and instructs assigned personnel on safety policies and procedures and follows up to ensure that hazards are eliminated
  • monitors appearance of food served and communicates deviations from standard
  • performs assigned input work in compiling annual budgets
  • service standards used to measure success include, turnover rate, high staff morale, labor cost in line with budget and cleanliness of venue
  • ensure team members to clean their areas as they perform their duties and assist with cleaning in other areas
  • cross-train those within your department while encouraging, reinforcing, and supporting your peers and team
