Job Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain First Aid, CPR, AED, Wilderness First Responder, and Leave No Trace certifications within 120 days
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government travel card
  • Must pass national and state background checks
  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 45 lbs independently, and heavier objects with assistance
  • Adherence to safety regulations and workplace standards
  • Must be able to work under supervision and collaboratively with a team
  • Willingness to perform clerical and administrative tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge or experience in developing and managing outdoor recreation and rental programs
  • Ability to obtain certifications in First Aid, CPR, AED, Wilderness First Responder, and Leave No Trace within 120 days
  • Experience in supervising staff and coordinating recreational activities
  • Proficient in using electronic computer equipment and software for activity monitoring and reporting
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs independently, and heavier with assistance
  • Successful completion of national and state background checks

Job Duties

  • Assist Outdoor Recreation Manager with planning, directing, and supervising recreation center activities
  • Coordinate and supervise employees at the Recreation Center
  • Develop and manage outdoor recreational programs including swimming, camping, hunting, boating, and specialized activities
  • Schedule and publicize outdoor recreation activities and events
  • Arrange for necessary equipment, supplies, and services for scheduled activities
  • Collect fees, maintain cash accounts, and prepare financial and operational reports
  • Supervise equipment maintenance, inventory control, and procurement processes
  • Provide world-class customer service emphasizing courtesy and problem resolution
  • Adhere to safety regulations and report workplace hazards and incidents
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties, including record keeping and correspondence
  • Serve as acting manager in absence of the Outdoor Recreation Manager
