Job Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to ten hours
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to read and write for communication
  • Possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food certification is a plus
  • Serve Safe Alcohol certification is a plus

Job Duties

  • Ensure timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
  • Cultivate a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
  • Respond immediately and correct all verbal guest complaints
  • Prioritize guest contact with required table visits
  • Maintain departmental inventory levels
  • Ensure product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks
  • Effectively schedule employees to meet sales demands
  • Maintain effective safety and security programs
  • Promote and lead restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation
  • Perform routine maintenance and report needed repairs to General Manager/Area Director
  • Promote recruitment and referrals of potential team and management candidates
  • Promote Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • Maintain a trained staff through orientation, individual training, employee meetings, and policy implementation
  • Participate in employee development and performance evaluations
  • Assess employee efficiency and provide regular feedback
  • Monitor employee performance and document corrective situations
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, practices, and procedures
  • Control costs in assigned department
  • Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines
  • Drive bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories at the AD/GM's request
  • Prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork
  • Ensure sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and company standards
  • Provide a role model for managers and employees
  • Develop self on all store-related technology
  • Be willing and able to work in all positions and assist team members as needed
  • Use Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills and proficiencies
