Job Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in restaurant or food service management is preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for 9 to 10 hours per shift
  • Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to perform any employee task while training or covering shifts
  • Reliable transportation with acceptable driving history
  • Proficient in computer use for daily information entry
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in restaurant management or assistant management preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and handle cash accurately
  • Experience with inventory and ordering processes
  • Knowledge of health and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to train and develop staff
  • Skills in conflict resolution and employee counseling
  • Proficiency in using computers for reporting and data entry
  • Ability to promote customer service excellence
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Job Duties

  • Helps GM communicate weekly and periodic budget variations compared to final losses and gains in the store
  • Communicates financial goals to employees and guides them to achieve those goals
  • Executes proper cash handling and security procedures and holds cashiers accountable to policies
  • Assists GM in conducting accurate and timely daily and weekly inventories
  • Helps GM place timely orders for food, products, paper, and supplies to maintain adequate stock levels
  • Collaborates with GM to maintain labor, food, and supply costs within budget
  • Uses and maintains all financial result tracking and reporting systems
  • Provides clear leadership and direction to all team leaders and employees
  • Serves as a role model by maintaining professionalism in the restaurant
  • Promotes an open-door policy and remains accessible to all employees
  • Interviews hourly employee candidates and recommends hires to the GM
  • Assists GM with onboarding and training new employees
  • Ensures systems, materials, and people are in place for quality employee training
  • Advises and documents employee performance, attendance, and behavior issues
  • Helps maintain adequate staffing levels
  • Assists in preparing hourly employee performance evaluations
  • Supports GM with employee performance counseling and terminations
  • Upholds integrity by adhering to all company policies and procedures
  • Helps maintain all restaurant areas at or above cleanliness standards
  • Completes QSC sales controller, ready-for-business, bathroom and bakery checklists each shift
  • Enforces uniform and personal hygiene standards
  • Ensures recipe and food quality standards are consistently met
  • Maintains proper sanitation procedures
  • Builds positive relationships with local health officials and promptly addresses issues
  • Oversees employee compliance with established service speed standards
  • Helps conduct quarterly QSC audits
  • Ensures guests are treated courteously and all guest issues are resolved professionally and promptly
  • Performs dining room administration and guest interaction during shifts
  • Aids GM in keeping the restaurant in like-new condition
  • Operates with uncompromising guest satisfaction attitude
  • Assists GM in maintaining equipment and supplies
  • Supports timely repairs and preventive maintenance
  • Helps execute restaurant updates and improvements as directed
  • Ensures all employees comply with company safety standards
  • Executes all company-sponsored marketing events and promotions
  • Assists GM with quarterly local marketing plans
  • Promotes internal marketing through suggestive selling and positive guest interactions
  • Performs physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and lifting up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Uses keyboard daily for data entry
  • Has acceptable driving history for banking and delivery errands
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned
