Job Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications also a plus
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to ten hours
  • Ability to safely lift pots, pans, glassware, and boxes up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to read and write to facilitate communication
  • Must possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ensure timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
  • Cultivate a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's Premier Card core values and beliefs
  • Respond immediately and correct all verbal guest complaints for self and staff
  • Prioritize guest contact with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
  • Maintain departmental inventory levels
  • Ensure product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks
  • Effectively schedule employees to meet sales demands
  • Maintain effective safety and security programs
  • Promote and lead restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation
  • Perform routine maintenance and report needed repairs to the General Manager or Area Director
  • Promote quality recruitment and referrals of potential team member and management candidates
  • Implement Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • Conduct employment orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings, and company policy training
  • Participate in employee development using One-on-One, performance documentation, and written evaluations
  • Assess employee efficiency and provide fair feedback regularly
  • Monitor employee performance and document disciplinary or corrective actions
  • Assure compliance with company policies, practices, and procedures
  • Control costs in assigned department
  • Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines
  • Conduct bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories at the request of Area Director or General Manager
  • Prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork
  • Ensure sanitation standards meet Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
  • Provide a role model for managers and employees
  • Develop proficiency in all store related technology
  • Assist in all team member positions as needed, including cooking, expo, seating guests, and bartending
  • Use the Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth
