Job Requirements
- must be at least 18 years old
- ability to stand and walk approximately 85%-95% of shift
- ability to lift and carry 10-65 lbs
- ability to move freely throughout the restaurant
- ability to operate restaurant equipment and drive a motor vehicle
- ability to operate a computer keyboard
- must complete assistant manager training classes
- must be ServSafe certified
- valid driver's license and insurance
- use personal vehicle for bank deposits and travel
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to perform basic math
- proven organizational and planning skills
- ability to work under pressure and handle conflict effectively
- experience in customer service environment
- knowledge of labor laws and food safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required
- associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- minimum 1+ years experience as a shift leader or 1 year as an assistant manager in customer service environment for internal promote
- minimum 3 years experience as an assistant manager with P&L responsibility for external recruit
- must be 100% certified in all workstations
- must complete assistant manager training classes
- must be ServSafe certified
- ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English
- excellent interpersonal skills
- ability to perform basic math operations
- proven analytical and organizational skills
- self-starter who takes initiative and responsibility
- working knowledge of personal computers and related software
- valid driver's license and insurance
- ability to operate a personal vehicle for business needs
- demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior
Job Duties
- recruit, select, train, develop, and evaluate restaurant employees
- monitor staffing levels to ensure sufficient development and talent
- ensure training systems on workstations are implemented
- identify and develop internal candidates for management and team leader positions
- work to create a friendly, fun, clean and safe restaurant environment
- motivate and inspire employees to achieve high performance
- recognize and reward employees appropriately
- ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws
- manage daily activities to maintain excellent operational performance
- train employees and hold team accountable for guest service and food quality
- monitor adherence to systems, procedures, and food safety requirements
- respond to guest concerns promptly and professionally
- maintain a positive brand image through food quality and restaurant cleanliness
- analyze operational and financial data to identify trends and improve business results
- develop and execute action plans to increase sales and profitability
- monitor costs and budget adherence
- foster a culture of integrity, honesty, and respect
- manage conflict effectively
- provide coaching and development to employees
- ensure timely and quality performance feedback
- handle multiple demands and changing priorities
- make high-quality decisions based on experience and policy
- attend to priorities, delegate work, and conduct follow-up
