Job Requirements
- At least high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Must be able to work various shifts including weekends
- Ability to stand and exert mobility for up to ten hours
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Good reading and writing skills
- Ability to use small tools and equipment
- Willingness to work in various restaurant positions as needed
- Must comply with local, state and federal laws and regulations
- Capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills
- Strong ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and customer service
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications a plus
- Ability to train and develop team members
- Commitment to company's core values
Job Duties
- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
- cultivates a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
- ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
- ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits
- maintains departmental inventory levels
- ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks
- effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- maintains effective safety and security programs
- promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
- performs routine maintenance and immediately reports needed repairs
- promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team member and management candidates
- promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- helps maintain a trained staff through orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings and implementation of company policies and training systems
- participates in the development of employees using One-on-One and performance documentation
- assesses efficiency of employees and provides fair feedback regularly
- monitors acceptable employee performance and documents disciplinary situations
- assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures
- controls cost in assigned department
- ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines
- drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories and is accountable for completion
- prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
- assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
- provides a role model for managers and employees
- develops self on all store related technology
- works in all positions and assists in team member roles as needed
- uses Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth
