Job Requirements
- At least a high school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
- ability to work various shifts including weekends
- capability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
- good reading and writing skills
- finger and hand dexterity for handling tools and equipment
- willingness to work in various restaurant positions as needed
Job Qualifications
- Restaurant management experience of at least 2-3 years
- knowledge of Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications is a plus
- leadership skills
- problem-solving abilities
- excellent communication skills
- ability to handle stress and work well in a team
- familiarity with restaurant operations and customer service
- ability to train and develop staff
- knowledge of health and safety standards
- competency in scheduling and inventory management
- understanding of local, state, and federal compliance requirements
Job Duties
- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
- cultivates a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
- ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
- ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits
- maintains departmental inventory levels
- ensures product preparation and presentation meeting company standards by performing line checks
- schedules employees effectively to meet sales demands
- maintains safety and security programs
- promotes and leads restaurant cleanliness and sanitation
- performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
- promotes quality recruitment and referrals
- promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- maintains a trained staff through training sessions and policy implementation
- participates in employee development using performance documentation
- provides fair and regular feedback to employees
- monitors employee performance and documents disciplinary actions
- assures compliance with company policies and practices
- controls cost in assigned department
- complies with local, state and federal laws and regulations
- drives food and liquor inventories as requested
- prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
- assures sanitation standards meet Health Department and company standards
- provides a role model for managers and employees
- develops self on all store-related technology
- willing to work in all positions including cooking, expo, seating, bartending
- uses the Management Development Program for leadership growth
