Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a restaurant or retail assistant management role preferred
  • ability to maintain fast and accurate service
  • knowledge of occupational safety and health standards
  • understanding of profit and loss statements and labor management
  • capacity to recruit, interview, and hire employees
  • skill in motivating and training staff
  • commitment to maintaining high customer service and food quality standards

Job Duties

  • maintaining fast, accurate service
  • positive guest relations
  • ensuring products are consistent with company quality standards
  • ensuring occupational safety and health act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy are met
  • assisting profit and loss management by following cash control, security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions
  • assisting restaurant manager in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team members
  • conducting performance appraisals, taking disciplinary action, motivating and training
  • ensuring company standards on equipment, facility, and grounds are maintained by using a preventative maintenance program
  • ensuring food quality and 100 percent customer satisfaction
  • ensuring complete and timely execution of corporate and local marketing plans
  • hiring and firing authority or participation in those decisions
  • championing recognition and motivation efforts
