Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends
- Physical ability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
- Good reading and writing skills for communication
- Dexterity with hands and fingers for equipment use
- Willingness to work in multiple restaurant positions
- Compliance with all company policies and local, state regulations
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications preferred
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle stressful situations
- Experience with employee training and development
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
- Familiarity with inventory management and cost control
- Commitment to company values and guest satisfaction
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
- Cultivates a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
- Ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
- Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits
- Maintains departmental inventory levels
- Ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks
- Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- Maintains effective safety and security programs
- Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
- Performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
- Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team member and management candidates
- Promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- Helps maintain a trained staff through orientation, individual training, meetings and implementation of company policies
- Participates in continuous development of employees using performance documentation and evaluations
- Assesses employee efficiency and provides regular feedback
- Monitors and documents situations requiring disciplinary or corrective action
- Assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures
- Controls cost in assigned department
- Ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines
- Drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories and ensures completion
- Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
- Assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee’s standards
- Provides a role model for managers and employees
- Develops self on all store related technology
- Works in all positions and assists team members as needed
- Uses the Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth
