Job Description

The position is for a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee of Jack in the Box, not directly employed by Jack in the Box Inc. This means that the independent franchisee will be the employer responsible for all employment-related decisions such as hiring, firing, wages, staffing, and scheduling. Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk 85-95% of shift
  • Ability to lift and carry 10-65 lbs
  • Ability to operate restaurant equipment and drive a motor vehicle
  • Experience in customer service environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and insurance
  • Strong ethical and integrity standards

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1+ years experience as Shift Leader or 1 year as Assistant Manager for internal promote
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as Assistant Manager with P&L responsibility for external recruit
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must complete Assistant Manager training classes
  • Must be ServSafe certified
  • Proficient in English communication
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to other locations

Job Duties

  • Recruit, select, train, develop, and evaluate restaurant employees
  • Monitor staffing levels and implement training systems
  • Ensure excellent guest service and food quality
  • Respond to guest concerns and complaints in a timely manner
  • Maintain restaurant cleanliness and safety standards
  • Analyze operational and financial performance data and implement improvement plans
  • Partner with Restaurant Manager to increase restaurant sales and profitability
