Job Requirements
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends
- Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 10 hours
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read and write for effective communication
- Possess finger and hand dexterity for use of small tools and equipment
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Possession of Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications is a plus
Job Duties
- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
- Cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
- Ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
- Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits
- Maintains departmental inventory levels
- Ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meet company standards by performing line checks
- Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- Maintains effective safety and security programs
- Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
- Performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs to management
- Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team member and management candidates
- Promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- Helps maintain a trained staff through orientation, training sessions, and implementation of company policy and training systems
- Participates in employee development using One-on-One and performance documentation, contributes to written evaluations
- Assesses employee efficiency and provides fair feedback
- Monitors acceptable employee performance and documents disciplinary or corrective situations
- Assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures
- Controls cost in assigned department
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories and is accountable for completion
- Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
- Assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and company standards
- Provides a role model for managers and employees
- Develops self on all store related technology
- Willing and able to work in all positions and assist in a team member position as needed
- Uses the Management Development Program for growth of leadership skills and proficiencies
