Job Requirements

  • 1-year of supervisory experience in a full-service food operation – restaurant or catering
  • 1-year of experience working in an establishment serving alcohol
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • ability to lift and carry 50 pounds occasionally
  • ability to work outside in inclement weather
  • ServSafe Certificate required or able to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Alcohol Server License required or able to obtain within 6 months of hire

Job Qualifications

  • 1-year of supervisory experience in a full-service food operation – restaurant or catering
  • 1-year of experience working in an establishment serving alcohol
  • excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • supervision and oversight of operations with direct supervision of two or more managers preferred
  • experience leading teams of more than 20 employees preferred
  • ServSafe Certificate required or able to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Alcohol Server License required or able to obtain within 6 months of hire

Job Duties

  • Selects, develops, implements and schedules logistics and menus for daily and catering operations
  • leads and provides exceptional customer service, answers questions, and provides information regarding food preparation, catering, and associated activities
  • assists with unit budget monitoring, management of inventory levels, and staff training
  • develops, implements and oversees workflow components, and assigns and coordinates the day-to-day activities of food service staff
  • enforces alcohol policy and law through carding operations on the Terrace
  • monitors adherence to federal, state, campus, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures, identifies needs and makes recommendations for improvement to leadership
  • plans and executes special events including Badger Bash and Welcome Week
