Job Requirements
- 1-year of supervisory experience in a full-service food operation – restaurant or catering
- 1-year of experience working in an establishment serving alcohol
- excellent communication skills
- strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- ability to lift and carry 50 pounds occasionally
- ability to work outside in inclement weather
- ServSafe Certificate required or able to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Alcohol Server License required or able to obtain within 6 months of hire
Job Qualifications
- 1-year of supervisory experience in a full-service food operation – restaurant or catering
- 1-year of experience working in an establishment serving alcohol
- excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- supervision and oversight of operations with direct supervision of two or more managers preferred
- experience leading teams of more than 20 employees preferred
- ServSafe Certificate required or able to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Alcohol Server License required or able to obtain within 6 months of hire
Job Duties
- Selects, develops, implements and schedules logistics and menus for daily and catering operations
- leads and provides exceptional customer service, answers questions, and provides information regarding food preparation, catering, and associated activities
- assists with unit budget monitoring, management of inventory levels, and staff training
- develops, implements and oversees workflow components, and assigns and coordinates the day-to-day activities of food service staff
- enforces alcohol policy and law through carding operations on the Terrace
- monitors adherence to federal, state, campus, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures, identifies needs and makes recommendations for improvement to leadership
- plans and executes special events including Badger Bash and Welcome Week
