Job Description

Job Requirements
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends
- Ability to stand and exert mobility for up to 10 hours
- Capability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read and write for effective communication
- Finger and hand dexterity to use small tools and equipment
- Willingness to work in various positions including cooking bartending and seating guests
- Compliance with company policies and local state federal regulations
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are a plus
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle stress and work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and team-building skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the restaurant industry
- Experience with staff training and performance management
- Basic proficiency with store-related technology
- Commitment to company core values and customer service excellence
Job Duties
- Ensure timely friendly service according to company guidelines achieving established objectives of the unit
- Cultivate a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
- Respond immediately to and correct all verbal guest complaints for self and staff
- Prioritize guest contact and complete required table visits as per Flynn Applebee's standards
- Maintain departmental inventory levels
- Ensure product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks
- Effectively schedule employees to meet sales demands
- Maintain effective safety and security programs
- Promote and lead restaurant organization cleanliness and sanitation
- Perform routine maintenance and report needed repairs to General Manager or Area Director
- Promote quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
- Support Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- Maintain a trained staff through orientation individual training sessions and employee meetings
- Participate in ongoing employee development using performance documentation and evaluations
- Assess employee efficiency provide regular feedback and work on employee development areas
- Monitor acceptable employee performance and document disciplinary or corrective situations
- Ensure compliance with company policies practices and procedures
- Control costs in assigned department
- Comply with local state and federal laws regulations and guidelines
- Drive bi-weekly or weekly food and liquor inventories as requested and ensure completion
- Prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork
- Ensure sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
- Provide a role model for managers and employees
- Develop self on all store related technology
- Be willing and able to work in all positions assisting team members as needed including cooking on the line expo seating guests bartending
- Use the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills and proficiencies
