Job Requirements
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- ability to work various shifts including weekends
- physical ability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
- ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to read and write
- finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment
- willingness to work in all restaurant positions as needed
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications are a plus
- strong leadership and team management skills
- excellent problem-solving abilities
- effective communication skills
- proven ability to handle stressful situations professionally
- knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
- prior experience in employee training and development
- ability to manage inventory and control costs
- familiarity with restaurant technology and operational procedures
Job Duties
- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
- cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of our core values and beliefs
- ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
- ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
- maintains departmental inventory levels
- ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks
- effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- maintains effective safety and security programs
- promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
- performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
- promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team member and management candidates
- promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- helps maintain a trained staff through orientation, training sessions, employee meetings, and company policy implementation
- participates in employee development and performance evaluation
- assesses employee efficiency and provides regular feedback
- monitors employee performance and documentation for disciplinary action
- assures compliance with company policies and legal regulations
- controls cost in assigned department
- complies with local, state, and federal laws
- drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories
- prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
- ensures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
- provides a role model for managers and employees
- develops self on all store related technology
- assists in all positions as needed including cooking, expo, seating guests, bartending
- uses Management Development Program for leadership growth
