Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends
- Physical ability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
- Capability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong reading and writing skills for communication
- Finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment
- Willingness to work in all restaurant positions as needed
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Experience in guest service and team leadership
- Ability to handle stressful situations and solve problems effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
- Capability to train and develop staff
- Familiarity with inventory control and cost management
- Understanding of company policies and compliance requirements
- Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications are a plus
Job Duties
- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines
- Cultivates a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
- Responds immediately to and corrects all verbal guest complaints
- Ensures guest contact with completion of required table visits
- Maintains departmental inventory levels
- Performs line checks to ensure product preparation and presentation meet company standards
- Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- Maintains effective safety and security programs
- Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation
- Performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
- Promotes quality recruitment and referrals
- Supports training procedures for new managers
- Maintains trained staff through orientation, training sessions, and implementation of company policies
- Participates in employee development and performance evaluations
- Provides regular feedback and manages employee performance
- Ensures compliance with company policies and legal regulations
- Controls costs in assigned department
- Conducts bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories
- Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
- Assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department requirements
- Acts as a role model for managers and employees
- Develops proficiency with store-related technology
- Works in all restaurant positions as needed
- Utilizes Management Development Program for leadership growth
