Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • ability to work varied shifts including weekends
  • physical ability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
  • able to lift up to 50 pounds safely
  • strong communication skills
  • leadership capability
  • problem-solving skills
  • willingness to work in multiple restaurant roles as needed
  • Serve Safe Food and Alcohol Certifications preferred

  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications are a plus

Job Duties

  • Ensure timely, friendly service according to company guidelines
  • cultivate a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values
  • immediately address and correct all verbal guest complaints
  • prioritize guest contact with required table visits
  • maintain departmental inventory levels
  • ensure product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks
  • effectively schedule employees to meet sales demands
  • maintain effective safety and security programs
  • promote and lead restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation
  • perform routine maintenance and report needed repairs
  • promote quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
  • promote Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • maintain trained staff through orientation, individual training, employee meetings, and policy implementation
  • participate in employee development through performance documentation and evaluations
  • assess employee efficiency and provide regular feedback
  • monitor employee performance and document disciplinary actions
  • assure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • control costs in assigned department
  • comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • conduct bi-weekly or weekly food and liquor inventories
  • prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork
  • assure sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department standards
  • provide a role model for managers and employees
  • develop proficiency in store-related technology
  • assist in all restaurant positions as needed
  • use Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth
