Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2-3 years experience in restaurant management
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends
- Physical ability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong reading and writing skills
- Willingness to work in all restaurant positions
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stress
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications are a plus
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
Job Duties
- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
- Cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
- Ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
- Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
- Maintains departmental inventory levels
- Ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks
- Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- Maintains effective safety and security programs
- Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation
- Performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs to General Manager or Area Director
- Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
- Promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- Helps maintain a trained staff through effective orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings and implementation of company policy
- Participates in employee development using One-on-One and performance documentation
- Assesses employee efficiency, provides fair feedback, and works on areas of development
- Monitors acceptable employee performance and documents disciplinary situations
- Assures compliance with company policies, practices, and procedures
- Controls cost in assigned department
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Drives food and liquor inventories as requested and ensures completion
- Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
- Assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
- Provides a role model for managers and employees
- Develops self on all store related technology
- Willing and able to work in all restaurant positions including cooking, expediting, seating guests, bartending
- Uses the Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth
