Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
  • ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • ability to stand and move around for up to 10 hours
  • ability to lift items up to 50 pounds safely
  • good reading and writing skills
  • finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment
  • willingness to work in various restaurant positions as needed
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
  • cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
  • ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints
  • ensures guest contact as priority with completion of required table visits
  • maintains departmental inventory levels
  • ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks
  • effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
  • maintains effective safety and security programs
  • promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
  • performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
  • promotes quality recruitment and referrals
  • promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • helps maintain a trained staff through orientation, training sessions, and employee meetings
  • participates in employee development using one-on-one and performance documentation
  • assesses employee efficiency and provides regular feedback
  • monitors acceptable employee performance and documents disciplinary actions
  • assures compliance with company policies
  • controls costs in assigned department
  • complies with local, state, and federal laws
  • drives bi-weekly and weekly food and liquor inventories
  • prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
  • assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and company standards
  • provides a role model for managers and employees
  • develops self on all store-related technology
  • willing and able to work in all positions and assist as needed
  • uses the Management Development Program for leadership growth
