Job Requirements

  • At least high school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous restaurant management experience
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • Capability to stand and be mobile for up to 10 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
  • Proficient in reading and writing for communication
  • Dexterity to use small tools and equipment
  • Willingness to work in multiple restaurant positions including cooking and bartending

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are a plus
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments
  • Experience in staff training and development
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations

Job Duties

  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
  • Cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
  • Ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
  • Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits
  • Maintains departmental inventory levels
  • Ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks
  • Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
  • Maintains effective safety and security programs
  • Promotes cleanliness and sanitation
  • Performs routine maintenance checks and reports needed repairs
  • Promotes recruitment and referral of potential team members
  • Leads training for new managers
  • Maintains trained staff through orientation, training sessions, and implementation of policy
  • Conducts employee development using One-on-One and performance documentation
  • Assesses employee efficiency, provides feedback and works on development areas
  • Monitors employee performance and documents disciplinary needs
  • Assures compliance with company policies
  • Controls cost in assigned department
  • Ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations
  • Drives food and liquor inventories as requested
  • Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
  • Assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department standards
  • Provides a role model for managers and employees
  • Develops self on store-related technology
  • Works in all restaurant positions including cooking, expo, seating, bartending
  • Uses Management Development Program for leadership growth
