Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends
- Ability to stand and move actively for up to 10 hours
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to perform multiple roles within the restaurant
- Ability to comply with health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Basic proficiency in technology used in restaurant operations
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food certification is a plus
- Serve Safe Alcohol certification is a plus
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle stressful situations effectively
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and safety standards
Job Duties
- Ensure timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
- Cultivate a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
- Ensure immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
- Ensure guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits per Flynn Applebee's standards
- Maintain departmental inventory levels
- Ensure product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks
- Effectively schedule employees to meet sales demands
- Maintain effective safety and security programs
- Promote and lead restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
- Perform routine maintenance and report needed repairs to General Manager or Area Director
- Promote quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
- Promote Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- Help maintain a trained staff through effective employment orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings, and implementation of company policy and training systems
- Participate in the development of employees using one-on-one coaching and performance documentation, contributing to written evaluations
- Assess employee efficiency, provide fair feedback, and support employee development
- Monitor acceptable employee performance and document any disciplinary or corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with company policies, practices, and procedures
- Control cost in assigned department
- Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines
- Drive bi-weekly or weekly food and liquor inventories as requested by Area Director or General Manager
- Prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork
- Assure sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
- Provide a role model for managers and employees
- Develop proficiency in all store-related technology
- Willingness and ability to work all positions and assist in team member roles as needed, including cooking, expo, seating guests, and bartending
- Utilize the Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth
