- high school diploma or GED
- 4 years relevant experience
- 1-3 years experience in food service management or related field
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to read and interpret documents
- ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and frequently move up to 50 pounds
- successful completion of a background check

- knowledge of ServSafe Sanitation guidelines or similar food handler program (desired)

- experience managing union and student staff (desired)
- knowledge of computerized ordering systems (desired)
- effective public speaking skills (desired)
Job Duties
- assist in managing university dining unit operations
- supervise 10-15 full-time and up to 300 part-time student employees
- manage food production and service to students, staff, guests, and special groups
- oversee procurement and inventory of food and related goods
- ensure meals are served per prescribed standards
- perform overall performance management of student employees
- orient, train, and coach student employees in facility operations
