Job Requirements

  • Two years of experience as a restaurant manager with experience in all areas of restaurant operations management and administration
  • ServSafe certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations typically through high school education completion
  • Knowledge of guest service, food handling and sanitation
  • Ability to motivate and coach staff
  • Leadership and communication skills
  • Financial understanding of restaurant operations

Job Duties

  • Ensure all menu items are made to recipe and presented attractively
  • Utilize proper food serving and carryover procedures
  • Forecast food production and implement the Food Production system
  • Follow opening and closing procedures and conduct stripping of coolers
  • Receive and store products correctly to ensure quality and freshness
  • Assist in ensuring guest satisfaction and increase guest count
  • Run shifts in absence of General, Associate General, or Kitchen Manager
  • Create hassle-free convenience environment for dine-in and carry-out guests
  • Ensure catering and take-out guidelines are followed
  • Focus employees on guest experience and operational excellence
  • Spend time with guests and make decisions based on their needs
  • Lead by example with warm greetings and guest acknowledgments
  • Handle guest complaints effectively
  • Be visible to guests during meal periods
  • Maintain Health Department and Company sanitation policies
  • Hold ServSafe Certification
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper equipment operation
  • Follow company safety and OSHA standards
  • React calmly to emergencies and assist guests and employees
  • Complete daily paperwork and follow cash control guidelines
  • Improve restaurant operations based on Shopper's Report scores
  • Conduct physical inventory of food and non-food items
  • Comply with corporate, government, and insurance reporting
  • Forecast sales and communicate information at relevant levels
  • Monitor food, labor costs, and operational expenses
  • Assist in recruiting to meet staffing needs
  • Comply with labor laws and company employee regulations
  • Maintain employee records and monitor days off
  • Foster a caring work environment and use motivational management techniques
  • Participate in training of new hires and catering staff
  • Take part in weekly management meetings
  • Provide input on employee performance reviews
  • Support disciplinary procedures and complete termination reports
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • Maintain professional behavior and promote company ethics and standards
