Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends
- Physical ability to stand and exert mobility for up to 10 hours
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds safely
- Good reading and writing skills
- Willingness to work in varied team member positions
- Commitment to uphold company policies and standards
- Serve Safe Food and Alcohol certifications preferred but not mandatory
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are a plus
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations and problem solve effectively
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in staff training and development
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines achieving established objectives of the unit
- Cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
- Ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
- Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
- Maintains departmental inventory levels
- Ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks
- Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- Maintains effective safety and security programs
- Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
- Performs routine maintenance and immediately reports to General Manager/Area Director of needed repairs
- Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
- Promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- Helps maintain a trained staff through employment orientation, training sessions, employee meetings and policy implementation
- Participates in employee development using One-on-One, performance documentation and written evaluations
- Assesses employee efficiency, provides feedback and works on areas of development
- Monitors employee performance and documents disciplinary or corrective action situations
- Assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures
- Controls cost in assigned department
- Ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines
- Drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories as requested and is accountable for completion
- Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
- Assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
- Provides a role model for managers and employees
- Develops self on all store-related technology
- Willing and able to work in all positions and assist as a team member as needed including cooking, expo, seating guests, bartending
- Uses Management Development Program for growth of leadership skills and proficiencies
