Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • Physical ability to stand and exert mobility for up to 10 hours
  • Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds safely
  • Good reading and writing skills
  • Willingness to work in varied team member positions
  • Commitment to uphold company policies and standards
  • Serve Safe Food and Alcohol certifications preferred but not mandatory

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are a plus
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and problem solve effectively
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in staff training and development
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines achieving established objectives of the unit
  • Cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
  • Ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
  • Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
  • Maintains departmental inventory levels
  • Ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks
  • Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
  • Maintains effective safety and security programs
  • Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
  • Performs routine maintenance and immediately reports to General Manager/Area Director of needed repairs
  • Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
  • Promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • Helps maintain a trained staff through employment orientation, training sessions, employee meetings and policy implementation
  • Participates in employee development using One-on-One, performance documentation and written evaluations
  • Assesses employee efficiency, provides feedback and works on areas of development
  • Monitors employee performance and documents disciplinary or corrective action situations
  • Assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures
  • Controls cost in assigned department
  • Ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines
  • Drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories as requested and is accountable for completion
  • Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
  • Assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
  • Provides a role model for managers and employees
  • Develops self on all store-related technology
  • Willing and able to work in all positions and assist as a team member as needed including cooking, expo, seating guests, bartending
  • Uses Management Development Program for growth of leadership skills and proficiencies
