Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 2 years of restaurant management experience
- ability to work various shifts including weekends
- physical ability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
- good reading and writing skills
- finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment
- willingness to work in all positions of the restaurant as needed
- ability to comply with local, state, and federal regulations
Job Qualifications
- at least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- serve safe food and serve safe alcohol certifications are a plus
- strong leadership and team management skills
- excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- proficiency in inventory and cost control
- customer service oriented
- ability to train and develop staff
- familiarity with restaurant technology systems
Job Duties
- ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
- cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
- ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
- ensures guest contact with completion of required table visits
- maintains departmental inventory levels
- ensures product preparation and presentation meeting company standards by performing line checks
- effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- maintains effective safety and security programs
- promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
- performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
- promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
- promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- helps maintain a trained staff through orientation, individual training sessions and employee meetings
- participates in constant development of employees using performance documentation and evaluations
- assesses employee efficiency and provides regular feedback
- monitors employee performance and documents situations requiring disciplinary action
- assures compliance with company policies and procedures
- controls cost in assigned department
- ensures compliance with laws and regulations
- drives food and liquor inventories and is accountable for completion
- prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
- assures sanitation standards meet Health Department and company standards
- provides a role model for managers and employees
- develops self on all store related technology
- works in all positions including cooking, expo, seating guests, bartending when needed
- uses Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills
