Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent
minimum 2 years of restaurant management experience
ability to work various shifts including weekends
physical ability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
good reading and writing skills
finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment
willingness to work in all positions of the restaurant as needed
ability to comply with local, state, and federal regulations

Job Qualifications

at least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
serve safe food and serve safe alcohol certifications are a plus
strong leadership and team management skills
excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
proficiency in inventory and cost control
customer service oriented
ability to train and develop staff
familiarity with restaurant technology systems

Job Duties

ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
ensures guest contact with completion of required table visits
maintains departmental inventory levels
ensures product preparation and presentation meeting company standards by performing line checks
effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
maintains effective safety and security programs
promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
helps maintain a trained staff through orientation, individual training sessions and employee meetings
participates in constant development of employees using performance documentation and evaluations
assesses employee efficiency and provides regular feedback
monitors employee performance and documents situations requiring disciplinary action
assures compliance with company policies and procedures
controls cost in assigned department
ensures compliance with laws and regulations
drives food and liquor inventories and is accountable for completion
prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
assures sanitation standards meet Health Department and company standards
provides a role model for managers and employees
develops self on all store related technology
works in all positions including cooking, expo, seating guests, bartending when needed
uses Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills
