Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • Ability to stand and move for up to ten hours
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
  • Ability to read and write for communication
  • Finger and hand dexterity for equipment use

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are a plus
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in employee training and development
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations

Job Duties

  • Ensure timely friendly service according to company guidelines
  • Cultivate a culture aligned with Flynn Applebee's core values
  • Respond immediately and correct all verbal guest complaints
  • Prioritize guest contact through required table visits
  • Maintain departmental inventory levels
  • Ensure product preparation meets company standards by conducting line checks
  • Schedule employees effectively to meet sales demands
  • Maintain safety and security programs
  • Promote cleanliness and sanitation
  • Perform routine maintenance and report needed repairs
  • Support recruitment and referral of team member and management candidates
  • Promote training procedures for new managers
  • Maintain trained staff through orientation and training sessions
  • Develop employees through one-on-one sessions and performance documentation
  • Provide regular feedback and assess employee efficiency
  • Monitor and document employee performance related to disciplinary actions
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Control costs within assigned department
  • Comply with local state and federal laws and regulations
  • Conduct bi-weekly or weekly food and liquor inventories
  • Prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork
  • Ensure sanitation standards meet health department regulations
  • Serve as a role model for managers and employees
  • Develop skills in store related technology
  • Assist in all restaurant positions as needed including cooking, expediting, seating, and bartending
  • Use the Management Development Program for leadership growth
