Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 10 hours
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to read and write effectively
  • Finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment
  • Willingness to work in all restaurant positions as needed

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are a plus
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
  • Proficient in scheduling and inventory management
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to company core values and customer service excellence

Job Duties

  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
  • Cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of our core values and beliefs
  • Ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
  • Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
  • Maintains departmental inventory levels
  • Ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks
  • Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
  • Maintains effective safety and security programs
  • Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
  • Performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs to General Manager/Area Director
  • Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team member and management candidates
  • Promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • Helps maintain a trained staff through effective use of orientation, training sessions, employee meetings and company policy implementation
  • Participates in employee development using One-on-One meetings and performance documentation
  • Assesses efficiency of employees, provides fair feedback regularly, works on employee development
  • Monitors acceptable employee performance and documents situations requiring disciplinary or corrective action
  • Assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures
  • Responsible for controlling cost in assigned department
  • Ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines
  • Drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories as requested by Area Director/General Manager
  • Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
  • Assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
  • Provides a role model for managers and employees
  • Develops self on all store related technology
  • Willing and able to work in all positions and assist in team member positions as needed
  • Uses the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills and proficiencies
