Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • willingness to work various shifts including weekends
  • ability to stand and move continuously for up to 10 hours
  • capacity to lift up to 50 pounds safely
  • basic reading and writing skills
  • hand and finger dexterity to use small tools and equipment
  • must be able to fulfill all physical standards of the role

Job Qualifications

  • at least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • serve safe food certification is a plus
  • serve safe alcohol certification is a plus
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • ability to handle stress and dynamic work environments

Job Duties

  • ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
  • cultivates a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
  • ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
  • ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits
  • maintains departmental inventory levels
  • ensures product preparation and presentation meeting company standards by performing line checks
  • effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
  • maintains effective safety and security programs
  • promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
  • performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
  • promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
  • promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • helps maintain a trained staff through employment orientation, individual training sessions, and employee meetings
  • participates in employee development using performance documentation and evaluations
  • assesses employee efficiency and provides fair feedback regularly
  • monitors acceptable employee performance and documents disciplinary actions
  • assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures
  • responsible for controlling cost in assigned department
  • ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations
  • drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories
  • prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
  • assures sanitation standards meet or exceed health department standards
  • provides a role model for managers and employees
  • develops self on all store-related technology
  • willing and able to work in all positions and assist in team member roles as needed
  • uses the Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth
