Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications preferred
- strong leadership ability
- excellent problem-solving skills
- ability to work under stress
- flexible schedule including weekends
- ability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
- proficiency in reading and writing for communication
- dexterity for using small tools and equipment
- willingness to work in all restaurant positions as needed
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
- cultivates a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
- ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
- ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits
- maintains departmental inventory levels
- ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks
- effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- maintains effective safety and security programs
- promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
- performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs to General Manager or Area Director
- promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
- promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- helps maintain a trained staff through orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings and implementation of company policy and training systems
- participates in the development of employees through One-on-One sessions and performance documentation
- assesses employee efficiency and provides fair feedback regularly
- monitors acceptable employee performance and documents disciplinary or corrective actions
- assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures
- controls cost in assigned department
- ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines
- drives bi-weekly or weekly food and liquor inventories as requested
- prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
- assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
- provides a role model for managers and employees
- develops self on all store-related technology
- works in all positions and assists in team member positions as needed
- uses the Management Development Program for leadership growth.
