Job Requirements

  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • ability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
  • ability to read and write for communication
  • finger and hand dexterity for using small tools
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • restaurant management experience

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines
  • cultivates a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values
  • ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints
  • ensures guest contact with completion of required table visits
  • maintains departmental inventory levels
  • performs line checks to ensure product preparation and presentation meet company standards
  • effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
  • maintains effective safety and security programs
  • promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation
  • performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
  • promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and managers
  • supports training procedures for new managers
  • maintains a trained staff through orientation and training sessions
  • participates in employee development using performance documentation and evaluations
  • assesses employee efficiency and provides feedback
  • monitors employee performance and documents disciplinary actions
  • assures compliance with company policies
  • controls costs in assigned department
  • complies with local, state, and federal laws
  • drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories
  • prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
  • assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department requirements
  • provides a role model for managers and employees
  • develops self on all store-related technology
  • works in various positions as needed, including cooking, seating guests, bartending
  • uses Management Development Program for ongoing leadership growth
