Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- at least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- ability to work various shifts including weekends
- ability to stand and exert mobility for up to 10 hours
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
- ability to read and write to facilitate communication
- finger and hand dexterity to use small tools and equipment
- willingness to work in different restaurant positions including cooking bartending seating
Job Qualifications
- at least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- serve safe food certification is a plus
- serve safe alcohol certification is a plus
- strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- ability to handle stress and work in a fast-paced environment
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- proven ability to manage and develop teams
- knowledge of inventory and cost control management
- understanding of health and safety regulations
Job Duties
- ensure timely friendly service according to company guidelines
- cultivate a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
- respond immediately and correct all verbal guest complaints by self and staff
- prioritize guest contact with completion of required table visits
- maintain departmental inventory levels
- perform line checks to ensure product preparation and presentation meet company standards
- schedule employees effectively to meet sales demands
- maintain safety and security programs
- promote and lead restaurant organization cleanliness and sanitation
- perform routine maintenance and report needed repairs to General Manager or Area Director
- promote quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
- implement Flynn Applebee’s training procedures for new managers
- maintain a trained staff through orientation training sessions employee meetings and company policy implementation
- participate in employee development through one-on-one meetings and performance documentation
- provide fair feedback on employee efficiency and work on areas of development
- monitor employee performance and document situations leading to disciplinary action
- ensure compliance with company policies practices and procedures
- control costs in assigned departments
- comply with local state and federal laws regulations and guidelines
- drive bi-weekly weekly food and liquor inventories as requested by Area Director General Manager
- prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork
- assure sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and company requirements
- provide a role model for managers and employees
- develop skills in store related technology
- work in all positions and assist in team member roles as needed
- use Management Development Program for leadership growth
