Job Requirements
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends
- ability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
- ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to read and write to facilitate communication
- finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food certification is a plus
- Serve Safe Alcohol certification is a plus
Job Duties
- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
- cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
- ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
- ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
- maintains departmental inventory levels
- ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks
- effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- maintains effective safety and security programs
- promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
- performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
- promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team member and management candidates
- promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- helps maintain a trained staff through employment orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings, and company policy implementation
- participates in employee development through one-on-one sessions and performance documentation
- assesses employee efficiency and provides regular constructive feedback
- monitors employee performance and documents disciplinary issues
- assures compliance with company policies, practices, and procedures
- responsible for controlling costs in assigned department
- ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines
- drives bi-weekly and weekly food and liquor inventories and is accountable for completion
- prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
- assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
- acts as a role model for managers and employees
- develops self on all store-related technology
- willing and able to work in all positions including cooking on the line, expo, seating guests, and bartending
- uses Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth
