Job Requirements
- minimum 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food and Alcohol certifications preferred
- ability to work varied shifts including weekends
- physical capability to stand and move for extended periods
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- effective reading and writing skills
- manual dexterity to handle small tools and equipment
Job Qualifications
- at least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications a plus
- ability to work various shifts including weekends
- physical ability to stand for up to 10 hours with well-paced mobility
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
- capacity to read, write, and communicate effectively
- finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment
Job Duties
- ensure timely, friendly service according to company guidelines
- cultivate a culture aligned with Flynn Applebee's core values
- respond immediately to verbal guest complaints
- prioritize guest contact with required table visits
- maintain departmental inventory levels
- perform line checks to ensure product preparation and presentation standards
- effectively schedule employees to meet sales demands
- maintain effective safety and security programs
- promote restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation
- report needed repairs to General Manager or Area Director
- promote quality recruitment and management referrals
- enforce Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- maintain trained staff through orientation and training
- develop employees using One-on-One and performance documentation
- provide regular feedback and support employee development
- monitor employee performance and document disciplinary situations
- ensure compliance with company policies
- control costs in assigned departments
- comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- conduct food and liquor inventories as required
- prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork
- uphold sanitation standards meeting or exceeding health department guidelines
- serve as a role model for managers and employees
- develop proficiency in store-related technology
- work in all restaurant positions as needed
- use the Management Development Program for leadership growth
