Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • physical ability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
  • ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • strong communication skills
  • basic reading and writing proficiency
  • finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications a plus
  • proven leadership and team management skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to handle high-stress situations

Job Duties

  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines
  • cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
  • ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints
  • ensures guest contact as a priority with required table visits
  • maintains departmental inventory levels
  • ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards
  • effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
  • maintains effective safety and security programs
  • promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
  • performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
  • promotes quality recruitment and referrals
  • implements training procedures for new managers
  • maintains trained staff through employment orientation and training sessions
  • participates in employee development using performance documentation and evaluations
  • assesses employee efficiency and provides constructive feedback
  • monitors employee performance and documents disciplinary actions
  • assures compliance with company policies and procedures
  • controls costs in assigned department
  • complies with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • drives food and liquor inventories
  • prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
  • assures sanitation standards meet health department regulations
  • models behavior for managers and employees

  • works in all restaurant positions as needed
