Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications preferred
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • Ability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to work in various restaurant roles as needed

  • Proficiency in customer service and conflict resolution
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Job Duties

  • Ensure timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
  • Cultivate a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's Premier Card core values and beliefs
  • Ensure immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
  • Ensure guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits
  • Maintain departmental inventory levels
  • Ensure product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meet company standards by performing line checks
  • Effectively schedule employees to meet sales demands
  • Maintain effective safety and security programs
  • Promote and lead restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
  • Perform routine maintenance and report needed repairs
  • Promote quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
  • Promote Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • Help maintain a trained staff through orientation, training sessions, meetings and implementation of policies
  • Participate in development of employees through feedback and performance documentation
  • Assess employee efficiency and provide fair feedback regularly
  • Monitor employee performance and document actions requiring discipline
  • Assure compliance with company policies and local, state and federal laws
  • Control costs in assigned department
  • Drive food and liquor inventories as requested
  • Prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork
  • Assure sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and company standards
  • Provide role model for managers and employees
  • Develop expertise in store-related technology
  • Work in all restaurant positions as needed including cooking, bartending and seating guests
  • Use Management Development Program for growth of leadership skills and proficiencies
