Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Some college preferred
  • Minimum one year of leadership experience in a Burger King restaurant or a comparable work record preferably in restaurant or retail/hospitality industry
  • Proficient English language skills
  • Proficient math skills
  • Completion or willingness to complete internal certifications such as Guest Service Expert, Basic Management Training and Serve Safe Essentials
  • Completion or willingness to complete Anti-Harassment Training and HR Legal Compliance Training within sixty days
  • Ability to work long and/or irregular hours including extra shifts as needed
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Knowledge of employment laws and compliance standards
  • Ability to manage cash and financial reports
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with minimum one year of excellent performance in a Burger King restaurant or comparable work in restaurant or retail/hospitality industry
  • Proficient English language skills enabling clear speech, reading and verbal comprehension
  • Proficient math skills
  • Completion or willingness to complete internal certifications such as Guest Service Expert, Basic Management Training, and Serve Safe Essentials
  • Completion or willingness to complete Anti-Harassment Training and HR Legal Compliance Training within sixty days from the start date
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team

  • Experience with cash control and financial management
  • Ability to manage operational tasks and solve problems efficiently

Job Duties

  • Leads operations excellence by directing efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products for prompt customer delivery within established speed of service guidelines
  • Provides production direction to crew in a clear and concise way
  • Sets an example for crew by working hard to ensure swift and smooth production
  • Identifies and resolves bottlenecks in food preparation and delivery to increase speed of service
  • Identifies and gets the right people involved to resolve restaurant equipment problems
  • Demonstrates patience and a positive attitude with crew while delegating tasks and giving production instructions
  • Leads shift using mission statement and values by motivating and directing crew members and shift supervisors to exceed customer expectations
  • Makes a professional impression on customers and crew through positive and friendly attitude
  • Works with crew to act on customer feedback and resolve complaints in a timely, friendly and professional manner
  • Directs crew to take pride in delivering mission and brand delivery standards
  • Demonstrates flexibility to meet different team needs to ensure customer promise delivery
  • Builds crew talent by supervising and training crew members and shift supervisors on crew stations, products, processes and policies
  • Assists management with recruiting, selecting and retaining effective crew talent
  • Delegates work to encourage teamwork during shifts
  • Coaches crew members using internal resources and feedback
  • Sets challenging goals and ensures accountability
  • Seeks knowledge of employment laws and policies
  • Identifies and retains high-performing crew and manages discipline when necessary
  • Assists with profit and loss management by following cash control and security procedures, implementing marketing plans, maintaining inventory, managing labor, and applying financial reports
  • Applies expertise to manage checklists and cash reporting
  • Creates crew schedules based on labor models and customer traffic
  • Assists in ordering, accounting and maintaining inventory
  • Seeks knowledge and coaching to increase understanding of financial controls
  • Identifies ways to enhance profit and loss with marketing, inventory and labor management
  • Ensures restaurant compliance by assisting with enforcement of government regulations, company policies and procedures
  • Supervises to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Acts on safety, sanitation or security violations
  • Educates crew on loss control procedures
  • Maintains compliance and helps identify compliance issues
