Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • Capability to stand and move continuously for up to ten hours
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Effective reading and writing skills
  • Finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment
  • Eligible to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications preferred
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Ability to motivate and develop team members
  • Proficiency with restaurant management technology

Job Duties

  • Ensure timely, friendly service according to company guidelines
  • Cultivate a culture aligned with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
  • Respond promptly and resolve all verbal guest complaints
  • Prioritize guest contact with mandatory table visits
  • Maintain departmental inventory levels
  • Perform line checks to assure product preparation and presentation meet standards
  • Effectively schedule employees to meet sales demands
  • Maintain safety and security programs
  • Promote cleanliness and sanitation in the restaurant
  • Report maintenance needs promptly
  • Support recruitment and referral of team and management candidates
  • Implement training procedures for new managers
  • Conduct orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings
  • Participate in employee development and performance evaluations
  • Assess employee efficiency and provide regular, fair feedback
  • Monitor employee performance and manage disciplinary actions
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Control department costs
  • Comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • Conduct periodic food and liquor inventories
  • Prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork
  • Assure sanitation standards meet or exceed health department requirements
  • Serve as a role model for managers and staff
  • Develop proficiency in store-related technology
  • Assist in all restaurant positions as needed including cooking, seating, bartending
  • Utilize Management Development Program for leadership growth
