Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years restaurant management experience
  • ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • physical ability to stand for lengthy periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to handle stressful situations calmly
  • willingness to work in all restaurant positions as needed
  • compliance with company policies and local, state and federal regulations

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications a plus
  • proven leadership and team management skills
  • strong problem-solving abilities
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • understanding of restaurant operations and customer service excellence

Job Duties

  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
  • cultivates a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
  • ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
  • ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits
  • maintains departmental inventory levels
  • ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks
  • effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
  • maintains effective safety and security programs
  • promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
  • performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
  • promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members
  • promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • helps maintain a trained staff through orientation, training sessions, and policy implementation
  • participates in employee development using one-on-one and performance documentation
  • assesses employee efficiency and provides regular feedback
  • monitors employee performance and documents disciplinary or corrective actions
  • assures compliance with company policies
  • controls costs in assigned department
  • complies with local, state and federal laws and regulations
  • drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories
  • prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
  • assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department standards
  • provides a role model for managers and employees
  • develops self on store-related technology
  • willing to work in all positions including line cooking, expo, seating, bartending
  • uses Management Development Program for leadership growth
