Job Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years of hospitality management experience
  • Degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Food management certifications beneficial
  • Ability to work a 45 hour work week including 5 hours at overtime rate
  • Ability to stand and move continuously for up to 10 hours
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Effective communication skills including reading and writing
  • Manual dexterity for using small tools and equipment

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years hospitality management experience
  • Degree or equivalent experience in hospitality or hotel/restaurant management preferred
  • Food management certifications a plus
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and control costs
  • Experience in fast-paced restaurant environments
  • Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, food quality, and safety
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to inspire and develop team members

Job Duties

  • Taking responsibility for the overall business performance of the restaurant including ordering, scheduling, labor management, marketing, facilities management, bakery operations, and catering
  • Analyzing and planning restaurant sales levels and profitability
  • Creating and executing plans for sustained profitability
  • Acting as the primary conduit of information between associates and management
  • Retaining and developing team members and managers
  • Managing budgets and controlling costs
  • Coordinating restaurant operations during scheduled shifts
  • Greeting customers and conducting table visits to ensure satisfaction
  • Inspiring associates to be authentic and productive
  • Coaching and mentoring through one-on-ones, performance documentation, and reviews
  • Anticipating and addressing problems proactively
  • Serving as primary resource for associate questions
  • Leading training to ensure team competence in food service and customer support
  • Recruiting and training staff to meet staffing par levels
  • Ensuring operating objectives are achieved within company guidelines and cultural values
  • Exhibiting a professional image and promoting company values
