Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends
- Capability to stand and exert mobility for up to 10 hours
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficient reading and writing skills
- Dexterity for using small tools and equipment
- Willingness to work in multiple restaurant positions when needed
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are a plus
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of food and safety standards
- Experience in employee training and development
- Ability to manage inventory and control costs
- Familiarity with relevant local, state, and federal regulations
Job Duties
- Ensure timely, friendly service according to company guidelines
- Cultivate a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
- Respond immediately and correct all verbal guest complaints
- Complete required guest table visits
- Maintain departmental inventory levels
- Ensure product preparation and presentation meet company standards
- Schedule employees effectively to meet sales demands
- Maintain effective safety and security programs
- Promote restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation
- Perform routine maintenance and report repairs
- Recruit and refer potential team and management candidates
- Lead Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- Maintain a trained staff through orientation and individual training
- Develop employees using one-on-one feedback and performance documentation
- Monitor employee performance and provide feedback
- Document disciplinary actions when necessary
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Control costs within assigned department
- Comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Conduct bi-weekly or weekly food and liquor inventories
- Prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork
- Maintain sanitation standards meeting Health Department and company standards
- Provide a role model for managers and employees
- Develop skills in all store-related technology
- Work in all positions as needed to support the team
- Use the Management Development Program for leadership growth
