Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • Capability to stand and exert mobility for up to 10 hours
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Proficient reading and writing skills
  • Dexterity for using small tools and equipment
  • Willingness to work in multiple restaurant positions when needed

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are a plus
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of food and safety standards
  • Experience in employee training and development
  • Ability to manage inventory and control costs
  • Familiarity with relevant local, state, and federal regulations

Job Duties

  • Ensure timely, friendly service according to company guidelines
  • Cultivate a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
  • Respond immediately and correct all verbal guest complaints
  • Complete required guest table visits
  • Maintain departmental inventory levels
  • Ensure product preparation and presentation meet company standards
  • Schedule employees effectively to meet sales demands
  • Maintain effective safety and security programs
  • Promote restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation
  • Perform routine maintenance and report repairs
  • Recruit and refer potential team and management candidates
  • Lead Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • Maintain a trained staff through orientation and individual training
  • Develop employees using one-on-one feedback and performance documentation
  • Monitor employee performance and provide feedback
  • Document disciplinary actions when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Control costs within assigned department
  • Comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • Conduct bi-weekly or weekly food and liquor inventories
  • Prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork
  • Maintain sanitation standards meeting Health Department and company standards
  • Provide a role model for managers and employees
  • Develop skills in all store-related technology
  • Work in all positions as needed to support the team
  • Use the Management Development Program for leadership growth
