Job Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Completion of background investigation with favorable results
  • Willingness to provide citizenship documentation
  • Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service

Job Qualifications

  • Must have experience in operational management of a civilian or military lodging program or related hospitality/business field
  • Experience with supervision of at least one functional area such as housekeeping, guest services or logistics
  • Knowledge of activity management planning, programming and accounting
  • Ability to manage supply procedures and facility maintenance
  • Skilled in supervision of subordinate staff
  • Familiarity with budget preparation and financial management
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Baccalaureate degree in hospitality or business is desirable
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national
  • Ability to complete background investigation with favorable results

Job Duties

  • Assist Lodging Manager in providing quality lodging services
  • Exercise managerial authority to set long-range plans, goals, and objectives
  • Develop policies and procedures for effective lodging operation and utilization
  • Structure organization to optimize resources and maximize efficiency
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate lodging projects and facility activities
  • Conduct periodic surveys, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance and evaluate financial controls
  • Prepare and control budget estimates and monitor expenditures
  • Formulate current and long-range income, expense, and capital budgets
  • Manage staff training and ensure compliance with Air Force standards
  • Oversee distinguished visitor and commercial lodging programs
  • Direct work through subordinate supervisors
  • Determine goals and objectives for each subordinate supervisor and section
