Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ServSafe certification
  • Allergen training certification
  • supervisory experience preferred
  • ability to train and supervise others
  • computer literacy
  • strong mathematical skills
  • physical ability to stand and walk regularly
  • capability to lift up to 15 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds
  • ability to work in a warm, humid, and fast-paced kitchen environment
  • must pass applicable background checks

Job Qualifications

  • ServSafe and Allergen training certifications
  • kitchen management experience preferred
  • supervisory skills
  • computer proficiency for inventory and communications
  • strong mathematical abilities for measurements and portions
  • problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • excellent organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Train beneficiaries on kitchen safety and compliance protocols
  • supervise daily work therapy performance including cooking and cleaning
  • provide regular feedback and direction to beneficiaries
  • ensure compliance with Health Department policies
  • create and update menus using Cycle Menu Management System
  • maximize use of donated goods
  • maintain kitchen and canteen inventories
  • generate timely orders based on stock, cost, and needs
  • source and coordinate food donations
  • monitor canteen sales and card tracking
  • maintain kitchen log communications
  • execute Health Department policies
  • prepare for regular inspections
  • coordinate with Kitchen Supervisor on all operations
