Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays
  • Must obtain Title 4 Certification and Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools
  • Minimum one year experience as a sous chef
  • Strong organization, planning, communication and time management skills

Job Duties

  • Food preparation responsibility for plating, cooking and the presentation of food using established recipes and guidelines
  • Conduct weekly inventory and work with head chef in ordering
  • Handle data entry and management systems including ordering, inventory, scheduling, and managing food and labor costs
  • Assist with the hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, providing performance management and team member discipline
  • Ensure proper maintenance, operations and usage of kitchen equipment and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in kitchen, walk-in and freezer areas
  • Enforce health and safety standards
