Job Requirements

  • Two years of experience as a restaurant manager with extensive knowledge of restaurant operations
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Must be able to hear well amongst loud background noise

  • Two years of experience as a restaurant manager with extensive knowledge of restaurant operations
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Ability to hear well amongst loud background noise
  • Previous sushi experience preferred
  • Four years of experience as a restaurant manager including production preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred

Job Duties

  • Monthly meeting with Kitchen Manager to present restaurant numbers including food and labor costs and sales
  • Manage operations during shifts including decision-making, staff support, guest interaction, scheduling and planning
  • Train and develop hourly team members through ongoing feedback, coaching and performance reviews
  • Ensure newly hired team members complete appropriate training plans
  • Interact frequently with guests to ensure satisfaction and address issues
  • Monitor kitchen operations and promptly address any misalignments
  • Identify operational opportunities to build sales and control costs and implement plans
  • Manage inventory accurately and cost-effectively
  • Maintain food quality through cleanliness, organization, and sanitation
  • Coach and develop kitchen talent
  • Oversee purchasing, receiving, and storing food products ensuring proper use and par levels
  • Foster open communication between kitchen and front-of-house staff
  • Ensure security procedures protect team members, guests and company assets
  • Enforce adherence to recipe standards and checklist procedures
  • Assist with prep and line duties as needed after managerial tasks
  • Support Kitchen Manager in other locations, events and menu development when requested
