Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Availability to work evening hours, weekends, and holidays
  • Positive attitude with a service-oriented mindset
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to regularly sit, stand, and walk
  • Ability to frequently talk and hear

  • Ability to reach with hands and arms and handle tools or objects
  • Good vision including close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus
  • Willingness to work a 45-50+ hour management work week and more as needed
  • Must comply with health, safety, and sanitation standards in a kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education preferred
  • At least 2 years of kitchen leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant with teams of 20 or more
  • ServSafe PIC/Manager certification
  • Strong culinary knowledge and ability to skillfully operate all kitchen stations
  • Proven leadership skills including coaching, training, and performance management
  • Experience with inventory management and budgeting
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments
  • Comfortable using restaurant management software platforms such as R365, Toast, and Google Suite

Job Duties

  • Drive cultural alignment by modeling company behaviors and creating an environment where team members feel valued and heard
  • Lead by example demonstrating the company’s points of difference through every interaction
  • Develop team members through coaching, skill-building, and career pathing discussions
  • Foster collaboration across departments with front of house, private events, and bar teams
  • Act as person-in-charge of kitchen operations during assigned shifts, supervising food preparation and quality
  • Provide strong presence in kitchen and work all stations proficiently
  • Lead kitchen team during service to ensure quality, efficiency, and adherence to standards
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and quality checks
  • Troubleshoot operational issues during service
  • Document shift notes, concerns, and successes
  • Partner with location leadership to deliver outstanding guest experiences
  • Monitor food quality and consistency actively
  • Monitor and respond to guest feedback to improve food quality and service
  • Collaborate with Private Events team on planning and execution
  • Support special event and catering functions
  • Participate in interviews, onboarding, training, and development of kitchen team
  • Assist with staff scheduling, hiring, and performance management
  • Communicate expectations clearly, cultivate positive relationships
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and training programs
  • Support administrative tasks including invoice processing and inventory management
  • Manage food inventory ordering, receiving, and storage to control costs
  • Work within budget constraints optimizing food costs and portion control
  • Analyze menu item cost-effectiveness and recommend adjustments
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Supervise proper food handling and storage
  • Conduct regular food quality checks
  • Enforce kitchen cleanliness and organization
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment and report maintenance needs
  • Collaborate with front-of-house leadership for smooth operations
  • Oversee seasonal menu changes and event calendar execution
  • Volunteer at least 16 paid hours annually for company impact initiatives
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
