Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand or walk 95 percent of the workday
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions including lifting and keypad entry
  • Ability to work flexible hours and at different kitchen locations if needed
  • Completion of USDA Mandatory Professional Standards training annually
  • Obtain ServSafe Manager Certification within 6 months of hire
  • Strong communication skills in English

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend written, graphic, and oral instructions in English
  • Experience in food service environment preferred
  • Leadership skills including planning, organizing, directing, and delegating responsibilities

Job Duties

  • Fully trained and serves as backup to the kitchen manager and completes all duties and responsibilities of the kitchen manager in their absence
  • Lead and direct employees in the absence of the kitchen manager
  • Comply with all sanitation and HACCP procedures
  • Assist with site reviews and health inspections
  • Assist the manager in maintaining all kitchen financial records
  • Ability to work at another kitchen location if essential or unexpected needs dictate
  • Follow guidelines and directives of outside contracts to ensure compliance with franchise standard operating procedures
  • Maintain and document adherence to franchise training requirements on site
  • Assist manager with delegation of assignments and follow up to ensure work is completed timely and efficiently
  • Assist manager with cross training employees and assisting with growth opportunities
  • Complete USDA mandatory professional standards training annually
  • Stay current with all district and department communications including voicemail and email in absence of manager
  • Lead inventory processes including inputting information into inventory program
  • Operate computer and cash box, ensure monies are collected and recorded accurately
  • Perform ordering, inventory, receiving and issuing tasks
  • Ensure safety policies and workers compensation procedures are followed
  • Work with kitchen manager to address personnel or performance related issues
  • Perform all food preparation activities including cooking, baking, and guiding production to ensure compliance with regulations
